A Comparison of Emotionally Stimulated and Conventionally Collected Tears Using Bottom‐Up, Label‐Free Quantitative Proteomic Analysis—A Pilot Study

open access: yesPROTEOMICS – Clinical Applications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Proteomic analysis of biofluids is central for identifying disease biomarkers. Tears have become popular targets for biomarker discovery and biosensor development, largely because they can be collected noninvasively and are rich sources of biomarkers for ocular and systemic diseases. Although basal and reflex tears have been well characterized,

Caenogastropods and heterobranch gastropods from the Hettangian deposits of Luxembourg: palaeobiogeography and Early Jurassic faunal recovery in the western Tethys

open access: yesPapers in Palaeontology, Volume 12, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
Abstract We describe the Hettangian Caenogastropoda and Heterobranchia of the Luxembourg Sandstone Formation, a wedge of clastic sediments deposited along the eastern margin of Paris Basin during the Early Jurassic. Senolytic‐Resistant Senescent Cells Have a Distinct SASP Profile and Functional Impact: The Path to Developing Senosensitizers

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 1, January 2026.
The SC subtype with a pro‐inflammatory, proapoptotic, tissue‐damaging SASP is susceptible to senolytics. The SC subset not killed by senolytics has a pro‐growth/repair SASP. “Senosensitizers” that induce senolytic‐resistant SCs to be converted into SCs that are susceptible to senolytics could enable removal of relatively silent SCs.

Long‐term outcome after allogeneic stem cell transplantation for GATA2 deficiency: An analysis of 67 adults and children from France and Belgium

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, Volume 208, Issue 1, Page 250-258, January 2026.
The overall survival of patients receiving an allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) for GATA2 deficiency was significantly better if they were transplanted recently, with a bone marrow or cord blood graft and if the transplant was performed before the onset of excess blast. Excess blast before HSCT was the only factor associated with an

Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Gastric Motility in Conscious Rats

open access: yesNeurogastroenterology &Motility, Volume 38, Issue 1, January 2026.
By training rats to remain awake inside an MRI scanner, we can now noninvasively scan their gastrointestinal tracts without using anesthesia. This allows us to assess gastric motility and emptying in conscious rats without the various confounding effects that anesthesia might cause.
