Quantifying Migratory Bat Movements in Central Europe Across Seasons and Years Using a Vertical‐Looking Radar

Remote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.
Vertical‐looking radar provides a first multi‐year analysis of migratory bat phenology in Europe. Bat activity was lowest in winter, increased from spring, and peaked in summer, with similar timing of pre‐ and post‐maternity migrations across years.

Bats have a critical role in ecosystems worldwide, but monitoring their populations remains challenging, particularly in complex roosts within human‐made structures. We examined the reliability of manual bat counts from thermal infrared video, a method widely used to estimate populations and evaluate computer vision censusing approaches.

Thermosensitive Nanostructured Coacervates Developed by Mixing ABA‐ and AB‐Block Copolymers and Their Unique Sustained Release of Nano‐Micelles in a Regulated Manner

Polyion complex micelles composed of blends of ABA and AB block copolymers can form coacervates with a hexagonally packed cylinder nanostructure after heating. The resulting coacervates can release the micelles under physiological conditions in a zero‐order kinetics, possessing cargo proteins.
