As Seen on Social Media: The Daily Effects of Social Media Content on Employee Emotions and Behaviors

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Employees regularly use social media during work hours and thus are exposed to a wide variety of vibrant, fluid social information that they would likely not have access to through other channels. We contribute to the literature by suggesting that the social information available on social media is infused with meaning that can affect ...

PMMA/ZnO/glass Love wave sensor for liquids sensing

open access: yesProceedings of 3rd International Electronic Conference on Sensors and Applications, 2016
PMMA/ZnO/glass structure was investigated to enhance Love mode sensor sentivities. The phase velocities and the attenuation of the acoustic wave propagating along the PMMA/30° tilted c-axis ZnO/glass structure contacting a viscous non-conductive liquid were calculated for different PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate) and ZnO guiding layer thicknesses, added

Transcriptomic stress responses in Vaccinium spp. F1 hybrids: Implications for temperature‐resilient cranberry breeding using a crop wild relative

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Climate extremes threaten the sustainability of cranberry production, a culturally and economically important North American crop. This study demonstrates that wild cranberries (Vaccinium oxycoccos) harbor genetic variation that may enhance cold stress resilience when introduced into cultivated cranberry through hybridization.

Vibration control in plates by uniformly distributed PZT actuators interconnected via electric networks

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper a novel device aimed at controlling the mechanical vibrations of plates by means of a set of electrically-interconnected piezoelectric actuators is described. The actuators are embedded uniformly in the plate wherein they connect every node

Teachers' Customizations of Storyline Science Curriculum: Adapting for Their Students and Instructional Contexts

open access: yesScience Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Curriculum materials can play an essential role to help teachers shift their instruction. However, curricular enactment does not look identical in every classroom, because teachers need to be responsive to their students. In this study, we investigated the customizations teachers made while enacting storyline science curriculum.
