Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) Coded Framelet Transform-Based OFDM System
Proceedings of the International Conference on Imaging, Signal Processing and Communication, 2017Framelet Transform-based OFDM (FT-OFDM) was proposed recently as an alternative to traditional Fast Fourier Transform-based OFDM (FFT-OFDM). By using the Framelet Transform, the spectral containment of the channels will be more efficient, since it does not use Cyclic Prefix (CP) that usually used in the traditional model.

DC-free (d, k) constrained low density parity check (LDPC) codes
International Symposium on Optical Memory and Optical Data Storage Topical Meeting, 2003Recently, turbo codes and low-density parity check (LDPC) codes with iterative soft decoding have been heavily investigated as potential candidates for low-SNR, high-density data storage systems. However, relatively less attention has been devoted to the investigation of (d, k) run-length limited (RLL) constrained LDPC codes, although run-length ...

High-speed simulation of partial response channels employing low-density parity check (LDPC) codes
SPIE Proceedings, 2003We developed a high-speed simulator for partial response (PR) channels employing low density parity check (LDPC) codes. Bit error rate (BER) performances for channels employing PR(1,1) and PR(1,2,2,1) targets wtih blue laser and 0.85 numerical aperture (NA) are estimated by simulating up to 10 11 data sampled which allowed us to estimate BERs as low ...

Efficient Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) Code Decoding for Combating Asymmetric Errors in STT-RAM
2016 IEEE Computer Society Annual Symposium on VLSI (ISVLSI), 2016Spin-transfer torque random access memory (STT-RAM) has emerged as a promising nonvolatile memory technology for its fast speed, small footprint and zero standby power. However, the unique and unusual high asymmetric error rates at different memory bit operations, which are proved to be far beyond the efficiency of common error correction codes (ECCs),

Modified Iterative Two-Stage Hybrid Decoding Algorithm for Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) Codes
VTC Spring 2009 - IEEE 69th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2009This paper considers a modified iterative version of the two-stage hybrid algorithm for decoding low-density parity- check (LDPC) codes. The hybrid-decision scheme is a decoding scheme used that combines two iterative decoding algorithms for decoding LDPC codes. This scheme is suitable for many applications such as audio and video transmission that are

Design of semi-algebraic low-density parity-check (SA-LDPC) codes for multilevel coded modulation
Proceedings of the 8th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students, Post-graduates and Young Scientists. Modern Technique and Technologies. MTT'2002 (Cat. No.02EX550), 2004Semialgebraic low-density parity-check (SA-LDPC) codes are proposed for the multilevel coded modulation system. We optimize code parameters of LDPC codes according to the rate of each level by Gaussian approximation. Iterative multistage decoding (IMSD) scheme is adopted to get the significant improvement.

Bootstrapped Low Complexity Iterative Decoding Algorithm for Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) Codes
2010RRWBF (Reliability ratio based weighted bit-flipping) algorithm is one of the best hard decision decoding algorithms in performance. Recently several modifications are done to this technique either to improve performance or to lower the complexity.

Reliability-Based Hybrid ARQ (RB-HARQ) Schemes Using Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) Codes
IEICE Transactions on Communications, 2006The Reliability-Based Hybrid ARQ (RB-HARQ) scheme, which can be used with error correcting codes using soft-input soft-output (SISO) decoders such as convolutional codes and turbo codes has been proposed. In the RB-HARQ scheme, the error rate performance is improved by selecting the retransmission bits based on Log Likelihood Ratio (LLR) of each bit in

Asymptotic Weight Analysis of Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) Code Ensembles
2008With the invention of turbo codes in 1993 came increased interest in codes and iterative decoding schemes. Gallager's Regular codes were rediscovered, and irregular codes were introduced. Protograph codes were introduced and analyzed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the early years of this century.

Robust Wavelet-Based Information Hiding through Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) Codes
2004In this paper, in order to mitigate the channel conditions and improve the quality of the watermark, we proposed the application of LDPC codes on implementing a fairly robust image watermarking system. The implemented watermarking system operates in the spectrum domain where a subset of the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) coefficients is modified by ...
