Low frequency temperature forcing of chemical oscillations

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2011
The low frequency forcing of chemical oscillations by temperature is investigated experimentally in the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction and in simulations of the Oregonator model with Arrhenius temperature dependence of the rate constants. Forcing with temperature leads to modulation of the chemical frequency.

Low-Frequency Oscillations

2017
Since the early 1970s and the early 1980s, the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) in the tropics and some teleconnections in worldwide have respectively become two important topics in climate study. The former is moving low-frequency fluctuations while the latter is standing oscillations.

Nonlinear analysis of low frequency Oscillations in gyrotrons

2009 IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science - Abstracts, 2009
Summary form only given: Low frequency oscillations attributed to reflected electrons bouncing between the electron gun and the interaction space have been observed in many gyrotrons. A nonlinear model is considered which allows one to develop the theory based on PIC simulations and apply it to the analysis of these oscillations.

Weak low-frequency electromagnetic oscillations in water

Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine, 2016
Recent observations of low-frequency electromagnetic oscillations in water suggest an inductive structural component. Accordingly, we assume a helical basis enabling us to model water as an LC tuned oscillator. A proposed tetrahedral structure consisting of three water molecules and one hydronium ion is incorporated into the Boerdijk-Coxeter tetrahelix

Low frequency oscillations in oscillators using Gunn diodes

International Journal of Electronics, 1973
Abstract Experiments are reported which indicate that simultaneous oscillations at two frequencies may be generated in a Gunn diode oscillator. The lower frequency is within the range 1·8-0·44GHZ, while the higher frequency lies between 1·8 and 3·75 GHz, the transit-time frequency being l·8GHz.

Design of a Low-Frequency Oscillator with PTC Memristor and an Inductor

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2016
An electronic oscillator circuit is designed by connecting an inductor in series with a locally-active PTC Memristor and a battery. The PTC Memristor is locally active on the negative resistance region of its DC [Formula: see text]–[Formula: see text] curve.

LOW-FREQUENCY OSCILLATIONS OF A CYLINDER IN A VISCOUS FLUID

The Quarterly Journal of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics, 1988
Summary: We consider the flow induced by a circular cylinder oscillating in a viscous fluid when the amplitude of the oscillation is small and the frequency is low. Our solution, obtained by the method of matched asymptotic expansions, is compared with an earlier solution obtained from an Oseen approximation to the governing equations.
