Optical Access to Dark Excitons Via Spin–Phonon Fano Interference

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dark excitons in quantum dots neither absorb nor emit light and stay hidden from optical spectroscopy. Quantum interference now reveals them: light scattered by acoustic phonons interferes with a phonon‐assisted spin flip between bright and dark exciton, carving a Fano dip into the spectrum whose position gives the bright–dark splitting. Magnetic field,

Hybrid Spring‐Coupled Broadband Energy Harvester Integrated with CuSCN Functionalized Triboelectric Vibration Sensor for Self‐Sustainable Vehicular IoTs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐sustainable vehicular vibration and indoor environment monitoring IoT platform is developed which integrates a hybrid spring‐coupled broadband energy harvester with a machine learning‐assisted PAN‐CuSCN nanofiber triboelectric vibration sensor for subtle‐to‐wide‐range vibration detection and road/speed classification.

Atomic Scale Control of Thermal Conductivity in LaMnO3/SrMnO3 Superlattices

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Interface‐dominated cross‐plane thermal transport in [(LaMnO3)m/(SrMnO3)n]10 superlattices can be controlled by the octahedral rotation/tilt angle φOOR of the MnO6 octahedra, which as well is controlled by the “m/n” ratio. ABSTRACT We report atomic scale structure and phonon thermal transport in (LaMnO3)m/(SrMnO3)n/SrTiO3(100) superlattices (LMO/SMO ...

Behavioral Coping With Food Price Inflation: Patterns Among U.S. Households

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Recent food price inflation has placed substantial pressure on household budgets, food security, and mental well‐being. Using Household Pulse Survey data, we combine k‐modes clustering and Double Machine Learning to identify distinct household coping groups and examine differences in how households respond to rising food prices across groups ...

The Geography of Success: A Spatial Analysis of Export Intensity in the Italian Wine Industry

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the paradox of how Italy's fragmented, SME‐dominated wine industry achieves global export success. Moving beyond purely firm‐centric explanations, we test whether export intensity is spatially dependent, clustering geographically in regional ecosystems.

Lumped modeling of bubbling fluidized beds for high‐temperature processes

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Bubbling fluidized beds (BFBs) have been a source of study for multiple decades. Among other applications, they can be used as scalable reactors for the conversion of biomass and waste resources to fuels. Several experimental and computational studies have been devoted to correlating the interplay of hydrodynamics and heat and mass transfer in
