High-level languages encourage and even force the programmer to conceive his programs in a structured fashion. Structured statements provide a high degree of order and perspicuity of the programmed algorithmic text. Structured data declarations allow a high level of abstraction in the organization of a program’s data and their organization in terms ...

Low level processing is performed on regular lattices of images. The set of sites S = {1,..., m} index image pixels in the image plane. The set L contains continuous or discrete labels for the pixels. Therefore the problems fall into categories LP1 and LP2. Most existing MRF vision models are for low level processing.

As we have seen, Modula—2’s facilities for input/output and storage management are provided as library modules. Programming these operations normally requires the use of assembly language to access the underlying machine. Since Modula-2 is intended to replace assembly language, it includes language constructs for low—level programming.

Low Level Verification (LLV) is a user-driven software verification system focused on proving properties of C-style computer programs. The system is introduced in multiple parts, starting with a through description of the syntax and operational semantics of LLV code.

This chapter covers three low-level factors that affect stereo viewing: interocular crosstalk, accommodation-vergence conflict, and Percival’s Zone of Comfort. These factors are considered ‘low level’ because they involve peripheral stages of visual processing: crosstalk entails image leakage on the retina, while accommodation-vergence conflict and ...
