Jet noise : aeroacoustic distribution of a subsonic co-axial jet [PDF]
The noise generated by aircraft can be easily heard by those living under the flight path of passenger or cargo carriers. It is considered an environmental pollutant and is treated as such by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) who ...

Feasibility of Nitrogen as a Carrier Gas for Inconel Cold Spray in Hydropower Application
N2, despite being nearly two orders of magnitude cheaper than He, is a feasible carrier gas for cold spray Inconel coatings in hydropower repair applications when higher gas temperature and pressure are used. Reducing powder size significantly improved cavitation resistance, while the addition of fine chromium carbide particles further enhanced erosion

The particle content of low-power radio galaxies in groups and clusters [PDF]
The synchrotron-radiating particles and magnetic fields in low-power radio galaxies (including most nearby cluster-centre sources), if at equipartition, can provide only a small fraction of the total internal energy density of the radio lobes or plumes ...

Exploring Curvature Effects in Direct‐Written 3D Curved Hollow Magnetic Nanoshells
Fabricated by a hybrid FEBID/CVD method, 3D PtC/Co3Fe core–shell heterostructures with engineered curvature and shell thickness exhibit complex reversal modes with axially symmetric N'eel‐type domain walls. XMCD‐PEEM combined with full‐scale micromagnetic simulations reveal how curvature and thickness govern the domain wall energy landscape and shape ...

Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

On the Vertical Structure and Spectral Characteristics of the Marine Low-Level Jet
The aim of this work is the study of the vertical turbulent structure and the spectral characteristics of the marine Low Level Jet (LLJ). The analyzed data are based on SODAR and in-situ instrumentation measurements, performed during summer 2003, in the frame of the Coupled Boundary Layers Air-Sea Transfer Experiment in Low Winds (CBLAST-Low), at ...

Speckle‐Engineered Upconversion Amplification in Nanoemulsion‐Templated Hydrogel Microdomes
Nanoemulsion‐confined PEGDA microdomes generate speckle‐like excitation fields that strongly amplify upconversion luminescence upon dehydration, enabling filter‐free visible readout with reversible on–off switching. DMD‐based lithography yields scalable, shape‐programmable arrays for moisture‐responsive displays and optical encryption.
