Laser therapy, used in a specific dose, modulates pulmonary inflammatory processes in an experimental model of sepsis in rats

open access: yesFisioterapia e Pesquisa, 2015
This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of LLLT in decreasing the lung inflammatory process in septic rats. A total of 32 male Wistar rats were divided into four groups (n=8): control group (CG), sepsis 24h (S24), sepsis and LLLT with 30 J/cm² ...

Factors affecting Low Level Laser Therapy

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Physiotherapy, 1993
Low Level Laser Therapy has been reported as causing many therapeutic reactions within living tissue, yet research studies have not been able to support conclusively the results which appear to occur clinically. If the physiotherapist accepts that light quality may have been a variable overlooked in previous studies, it is necessary to consider whether

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
