Low-light Image Enhancement Using the Cell Vibration Model
Low light very likely leads to the degradation of an image's quality and even causes visual task failures. Existing image enhancement technologies are prone to overenhancement, color distortion or time consumption, and their adaptability is fairly ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Progressive Two-Stage Network for Low-Light Image Enhancement
At night, visual quality is reduced due to insufficient illumination so that it is difficult to conduct high-level visual tasks effectively. Existing image enhancement methods only focus on brightness improvement, however, improving image quality in low ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Non-linear Low-Light Image Enhancement Based on Fusion Color Model Space
Lowlight images have problems such as low overall brightness of the image, uneven brightness, high color saturation, and image blur. To address these problems, a lowlight image enhancement algorithm fusing color model space is proposed, in which the ...

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Text in the dark: Extremely low-light text image enhancement
Extremely low-light text images pose significant challenges for scene text detection. Existing methods enhance these images using low-light image enhancement techniques before text detection.

Low-Light Image Enhancement Based on Nonsubsampled Shearlet Transform
To improve the observability of low-light images, a low-light image enhancement algorithm based on nonsubsampled shearlet transform (NSST) is presented (LIEST). The proposed algorithm can synchronously achieve contrast improvement, noise suppression, and

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.
