MAGAN: Unsupervised Low-Light Image Enhancement Guided by Mixed-Attention
Most learning-based low-light image enhancement methods typically suffer from two problems. First, they require a large amount of paired data for training, which are difficult to acquire in most cases.

Image resolution enhancement using dual-tree complex wavelet transform [PDF]
In this letter, a complex wavelet-domain image resolution enhancement algorithm based on the estimation of wavelet coefficients is proposed. The method uses a forward and inverse dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT) to construct a high-resolution

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

DeepSelfie: Single-Shot Low-Light Enhancement for Selfies
Taking a high-quality selfie photo in a low-light environment is challenging. Because the foreground and background often have different illumination conditions, they suffer heavily from over/under-exposure issues and cannot be treated in the same manner

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Low-Light Homomorphic Filtering Network for integrating image enhancement and classification
Low-light image (LLI) enhancement techniques have recently demonstrated remarkable progress especially with the use of deep learning approaches. However, most existing techniques are developed as standalone solutions and do not take into account the ...
