High-quality inductorless lowpass filters of even degree with resistive source and load impedances can be constructed using Riordan's gyrator circuit with a modification of Bruton's method, in which the admittance of each element is multiplied by P. Some experimental results were extremely good.

Microminiature active filters have been constructed using a combination of thin film and integrated circuits. The advantages of such an approach are discussed. The filter required could be met by a fifth-order Chebyshev function and the method of realization was to split the transfer function into quadratic and linear factors with each factor then ...

Multimode Waveguide: A Low Pass Filter
Applied Optics, 1973It is shown in this paper that a multimode waveguide-represented by a ray model-acts like a low-pass filter with respect to the modulation. The response function is calculated and discussed in the case of an ideal, straightlined, loss-free system.

Abstract Gratings are excellent low-pass filters, provided they have the appropriate mounting. We have measured the spectral reflectivity of filters composed of four gratings, from the 0.2 mm to 2 mm wavelength region. In order to contain the size of the gratings, they were placed near a lens focus, where the beam section is smaller.

Low-pass filters are systems that allow the passing without attenuation of signals with frequency below the cutoff frequency, while attenuating those with frequency above it. The amount of attenuation the signals with higher frequency suffer is dependent on their frequency and the order of the filter.

Miniature low-pass EMI filters
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1979This paper describes miniature ceramic feedthru type electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters. Electrically, the devices function as low-pass filters with a 3-dB cutoff frequency in the low-megahertz range. The filters are mechanically rugged and in many applications can be placed in the I/O connector or substituted for the existing feedthrus.

Pulse modification by low pass filters

Grating Optical Low-Pass Filter
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1996The spurious signals appearing in the picture image from a charge-coupled semiconductor device (CCD) camera were removed by means of a novel grating optical low-pass filter (GOLF). By placing the GOLF near the imaging plane of the CCD and adjusting the effective grating period projected onto the imaging plane with respect to the array ...
