Locating the Nodes From Incomplete Euclidean Distance Matrix Using Bayesian Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Node localization in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) has received a considerable amount of attention. In this paper, using the natural low-rank properties of the Euclidean distance matrix (EDM), we formulate the node location finding problem from only a ...

Stage‐Dependent β‐Synuclein Links MRI and Cognitive Decline in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Synaptic degeneration drives cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease (AD), but synaptic biomarkers are scarce. Brain‐enriched β‐synuclein emerged as a synaptic damage marker. We investigated its diagnostic, prognostic, and structural correlates across the AD continuum.

Evaluation of Dried Plasma Spot‐Based Quantification of Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein as a Disease‐Associated Biomarker in Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) measured in dried plasma spots versus conventional plasma‐ and serum‐GFAP testing for assessment of disease severity in aquaporin‐4 immunoglobulin G–positive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4‐IgG+ NMOSD).

Flat minima generalize for low-rank matrix recovery

open access: yesInformation and Inference: A Journal of the IMA
Abstract Empirical evidence suggests that for a variety of overparameterized nonlinear models, most notably in neural network training, the growth of the loss around a minimizer strongly impacts its performance. Flat minima—those around which the loss grows slowly—appear to generalize well.

Subspace based low rank & joint sparse matrix recovery

open access: yes2014 48th Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2014
We consider the recovery of a low rank and jointly sparse matrix from under sampled measurements of its columns. This problem is highly relevant in the recovery of dynamic MRI data with high spatio-temporal resolution, where each column of the matrix corresponds to a frame in the image time series; the matrix is highly low-rank since the frames are ...

White Matter and Perivascular Imaging Changes in Alzheimer's Disease and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Peak‐width of skeletonized mean diffusivity (PSMD) and diffusion tensor imaging–analysis along the perivascular space (DTI‐ALPS), reflecting white matter integrity and glymphatic function, are altered in Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Real‐World Safety and Effectiveness of JAK Inhibitors in Systemic Sclerosis: A Propensity‐Matched Study From the EUSTAR Cohort

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective JAK inhibitors (JAKi) have shown promising effects in early‐phase studies of systemic sclerosis (SSc). We aimed to assess the safety and explore the effectiveness of JAKi compared to conventional immunosuppressants in SSc. Methods A longitudinal retrospective study of the European Scleroderma Trials and Research Group (EUSTAR) cohort was ...

Joint Narrowband RFI Suppression and Phase Synchronization Signal Retrieval for BiSAR via Robust Principal Component Analysis

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Due to the complex electromagnetic environment and the increased demand for frequency occupation, radio frequency interference (RFI) is becoming a significant issue for the bistatic synthetic aperture radar (BiSAR), especially in the synchronization ...

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing
