A low-temperature large-area blackbody radiant source with heat pipe
Infrared Physics, 1988Abstract A low-temperature and large-area blackbody radiant source with an operating temperature between −50 and +50°C is reported. The source consists of a honeycomb cavity array which is mounted on a specially designed heat pipe. The array provides a high emissivity (calculated to be 0.995).

Feasibility Study of Absorption Chillers With a Low Temperature Heat Source
Advanced Energy Systems, 2004Low temperature energy powering an absorption chiller will make more energy sources available for comfort cooling as compared to conventional heat driven chillers. Solar energy, industrial waste heat and heat from combined power and heat generation are examples of sources for driving energy. Also, the distribution of energy for comfort cooling could be

Economic analysis of heat transmission from low temperature geothermal sources
Energy Conversion, 1978Abstract The costs of transmitting low temperature geothermal water (150–300°F) was evaluated as a function of well head temperature, distance between the geothermal field and the energy usage site, and total energy demand of the system. It was found that transmission was not practical beyond 2–3 miles and that economies of scale are very important ...

Thermodynamics-based design of stirling engines for low-temperature heat sources.
2014Large amounts of energy from heat sources such as waste-eat and geothermal energy are available worldwide but their potential for useful power-generation is largely untapped. This is because they are relatively low temperature difference (LTD) sources, in the range from 100 to 200 °C, and it is thermodynamically diffcult, for theoretical and practical ...
