Research on the effect of Cu addition on the corrosion resistance of low carbon low alloy steel

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Cu has been regarded as an important element to improve the corrosion resistance of steels, but little was known about the role mechanism of Cu addition in low carbon low alloy steel.

Prediction of Low Cycle Fatigue Lives of Low Alloy Steels.

open access: yesISIJ International, 1996
An assessment of low cycle fatigue data was conducted in this paper with two new life prediction methods. A phenomenological method was developed that accounts for the flow characteristics as a result of loading in terms of dynamic viscosity. The other method is a statistical method known as Diercks equation that has been used as a "first approximation"

Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

The development of advanced creep constitutive equations for high chromium alloy steel (P91) at transition stress range

open access: yes
Creep damage is a time-dependent deformation in metals under a constant stress at high temperature condition. Since the 1980s, high chromium alloy steel P91 (9%Cr-1%Mo-0.25%V) is highly demanded in high temperature industries (Saha, 2003).

Effect of Microstructure on Mechanical Properties of High Strength Steel Weld Metals

open access: yes, 2004
The effects of variations in alloying content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of high strength steel weld metals have been studied. Based on neural network modelling, weld metals were produced using shielded metal arc welding with nickel ...

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...
