Dark Current Reduction of P3HT-Based Organic Photodiode Using a Ytterbium Fluoride Buffer Layer in Electron Transport

open access: yes, 2016
Photodiodes are widely used to convert lights into electrical signals. The conventional silicon (Si) based photodiodes boast high photoelectric conversion efficiency and detectivity.

Competitive responses to low cost carrier entry [PDF]

open access: yesTransportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, 1999
Abstract Recent research has found that the entrance of a low cost carrier leads to lower prices on routes it has entered. This paper extends this analysis by examining the impact of route entry by a discount carrier, ValuJet into an established carrier’s hub, Delta, and by examining price changes on routes not entered by the low cost carrier.

C2α‐carbanion‐protonating glutamate discloses tradeoffs between substrate accommodation and reaction rate in actinobacterial 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

Economic impacts on destination air traffic following a flag carrier's market exit: a case study for Budapest

open access: yesAviation, 2013
After 66 years of existence, the Hungarian state carrier MALEV had to cease operations in 2012 because of its financial situation. The sudden market exit affected more than half of the traffic at Budapest's Liszt Ferenc Airport (BUD).

Establishing an assay to evaluate d‐amino acid oxidase enzyme kinetics and inhibition using WST‐8 redox dye

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

Embedding laser generated nanocrystals in BiVO4 photoanode for efficient photoelectrochemical water splitting

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
While photoelectrochemical water splitting offers a low-cost, integrated means to generate fuel from light, poor charge carrier transport limits performances.

Frequency-domain precoding for single carrier frequency-division multiple access [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
At present there is considerable interest in the use of single carrier frequency-division multiple access. This interest is justified by the inherent single carrier structure of the SC-FDMA scheme, which is more robust against phase noise and has a lower
