Exchange Interaction in Binuclear Complexes with Rare Earth and Copper Ions: A Many-Body Model Study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We have used a many-body model Hamiltonian to study the nature of the magnetic ground state of hetero-binuclear complexes involving rare-earth and copper ions. We have taken into account all diagonal repulsions involving the rare-earth 4f and 5d orbitals and the copper 3d orbital.

Space Occupancy in Low-Earth Orbit [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 2021
With the upcoming launch of large constellations of satellites in the low-Earth orbit (LEO) region it will become important to organize the physical space occupied by the different operating satellites in order to minimize critical conjunctions and avoid collisions.

Orbit Design and Trajectory Analysis of satellite in Low Earth Orbit [PDF]

open access: yesINCAS Bulletin, 2021
An Attitude control system for a satellite in low earth orbit is designed in this project. As a reference, CARTOSAT-2 is selected to design the AOCS. CARTOSAT-2 is located in LEO so it suits the needs of the projects.

Balanced Low Earth Satellite Orbits [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, 2020
The present work aims at constructing an atlas of the balanced Earth satellite orbits with respect to the secular and long periodic effects of Earth oblateness with the harmonics of the geopotential retained up to the 4th zonal harmonic. The variations of the elements are averaged over the fast and medium angles, thus retaining only the secular and ...

Formation-flying interferometry in geocentric orbits [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 682, A38, February 2024, 2023
Spacecraft formation flying serves as a method of astronomical instrumentation that enables the construction of large virtual structures in space. The formation-flying interferometry generally requires very-high control accuracy, and beyond-Earth orbits are typically selected.
