Since the early 1970s and the early 1980s, the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) in the tropics and some teleconnections in worldwide have respectively become two important topics in climate study. The former is moving low-frequency fluctuations while the latter is standing oscillations.

Low frequency temperature forcing of chemical oscillations
Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2011The low frequency forcing of chemical oscillations by temperature is investigated experimentally in the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction and in simulations of the Oregonator model with Arrhenius temperature dependence of the rate constants. Forcing with temperature leads to modulation of the chemical frequency.

Nonlinear analysis of low frequency Oscillations in gyrotrons
2009 IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science - Abstracts, 2009Summary form only given: Low frequency oscillations attributed to reflected electrons bouncing between the electron gun and the interaction space have been observed in many gyrotrons. A nonlinear model is considered which allows one to develop the theory based on PIC simulations and apply it to the analysis of these oscillations.

Weak low-frequency electromagnetic oscillations in water
Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine, 2016Recent observations of low-frequency electromagnetic oscillations in water suggest an inductive structural component. Accordingly, we assume a helical basis enabling us to model water as an LC tuned oscillator. A proposed tetrahedral structure consisting of three water molecules and one hydronium ion is incorporated into the Boerdijk-Coxeter tetrahelix

Low-frequency, low-distortion digital quadrature oscillator
Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1989Digital recursive and non-recursive filtering techniques have both been exploited to build a low-frequency (0.5-50 Hz), low-distortion digital quadrature oscillator. This generator shows an amplitude constant to within 0.3% over the frequency range, and the quadrature phase error is within +or-0.05 degrees .

LOW-FREQUENCY OSCILLATIONS OF A CYLINDER IN A VISCOUS FLUID
The Quarterly Journal of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics, 1988Summary: We consider the flow induced by a circular cylinder oscillating in a viscous fluid when the amplitude of the oscillation is small and the frequency is low. Our solution, obtained by the method of matched asymptotic expansions, is compared with an earlier solution obtained from an Oseen approximation to the governing equations.
