The NNR‐n series of oligomeric nanographenes delivers exceptional emission performance. This work shows that this performance is originated by their ladder‐type structure, which effectively deactivates low‐frequency vibronic modes. This deactivation neglects the main pathway for non‐emissive deactivation, even in the near‐infrared region. The potential

The local dust foregrounds in the microwave sky: I. Thermal emission spectra
Analyses of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation maps made by the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) have revealed anomalies not predicted by the standard inflationary cosmology.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Preliminary research on field measurement of spectral emissivity of rice in thermal infrared
The procedure and method of emissivity field measurement for rice were conducted using a portable Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. The results showed that rice emissivity value measured indoor was very close to 1.0, and no distinct emissivity ...

Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Research progress in high-temperature infrared stealth materials
Infrared radiation at the hot-section of the aero engine is easily detected by infrared detectors, which is not conducive to aircraft service in a complex monitoring environment.

In this article, we propose the design of a multispectral metasurface (MSM), which can simultaneously achieve quite good optical transparency, low infrared (IR) emissivity, and wideband microwave absorption.

We have modeled optical to far infrared images, photometry, and spectroscopy of the object known as Gomez's Hamburger. We reproduce the images and spectrum with an edge-on disk of mass 0.3M_sun and radius 1600AU, surrounding an A0 III star at a distance ...

Fast‐Responding O2 Gas Sensor Based on Luminescent Europium Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOF‐76)
Luminescent MOF‐76 materials based on Eu(III) and mixed Eu(III)/Y(III) show rapid and reversible changes in emission intensity in response to O2 with very short response times. The effect is based on triplet quenching of the linker ligands that act as photosensitizers. Average emission lifetimes of a few milliseconds turn out to be mostly unaffected by
