Difunctional composite coatings with low infrared emissivity and electrostatic dissipation property
Infrared Physics & Technology, 2021Abstract The functional coatings play a critical role in many fields. To obtain difunctional composite coatings with low infrared emissivity and electrostatic dissipation (ESD) property, the composite coatings reinforced by aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO) and ESD carbonaceous fiber (CF) hybrid pigments were prepared, which were characterized by X-ray

Infrared radiation measurement for materials with low emissivity
15th International Conference on Infrared and Millimeter Waves, 1990We report design and performance of an ellipsoid optical system with a heating pipe cavity and a gold-coated horn for measuring IR emission of low absorptance samples at 50-150° C. The system includes also a set of IR interference filters and a spectral data processing system.

2020 26th International Workshop on Thermal Investigations of ICs and Systems (THERMINIC), 2020
Pulsed Infrared Thermography (PIRT) is a very fast and non-destructive technique for testing various types of specimens. This makes PIRT interesting for inspections in industrial production lines. Especially for the thermal interface inspection of sintered and soldered electronic components the industry is looking for alternatives to cost extensive x ...

Design of antireflective coatings for AZO low infrared emissivity layer
Chinese Optics Letters, 2013In this letter, we investigate the structural, optical, and electrical properties of Al-doped ZnO (AZO) thin film coating prepared by direct current (DC) facing-target sputtering method at room temperature, of which the average optical transmittance is 81% between 400 and 700 nm while the sheet resistance is about 10 \Omega/.

Abstract In order to improve the corrosion resistance of low infrared emissivity polyurethane (PU)/Cu coating, ethylene–propylene–diene monomer (EPDM) and maleic anhydride grafted EPDM (EPDM-g-MAH) were deposited on PU/Cu coating by spin coating, respectively. The ability of EPDM and EPDM-g-MAH to serve as corrosion protective films for PU/Cu coating

Low‐Emissivity Patterned Camouflage for Visible and Infrared Stealth
Advanced Engineering MaterialsThe development of multispectral detection emphasizes the significance of multispectra‐compatible camouflage technology, necessitating compatible camouflage for visible and infrared bands. Conventional painted camouflage is hindered by high infrared emissivity, and crafting patterns with existing low‐emissivity materials is hindered by the lack of ...

Method for accurate measurement of infrared emissivity for opaque low-reflectance materials
Applied Optics, 2019Accurate determination of infrared (IR) emissivity is important for non-contact temperature measurement and for energy balance evaluation in systems that exchange radiation. A method for accurate measurement is proposed based on active modulation of the background radiation.

Infrared emission spectroscopy of glow discharge formed in low pressure atmospheric gases
Applied Optics, 1982Laboratory study was conducted on the molecular and atomic emissions which are considered detectable in the IR radiative background of the upper atmosphere. The IR spectra of glow discharge emission formed in air and other atmospheric constituent gases of 0.1-Torr pressure and a 30-m long column were surveyed using the technique of Fourier spectroscopy.

Influence of binder viscosity on the control of infrared emissivity in low emissivity coating
Infrared Physics & Technology, 2013Abstract Low emissivity is the complex system and polymer binder is one of the most important factors that affect optical and mechanical properties of the coating. Low infrared emissivity coatings were prepared by using flake aluminum particles and three types of polymer resins as fillers and binders, respectively.
