Gut microbiota alterations in patients with non‐small‐cell lung cancer undergoing chemoradiotherapy
We investigated the impact of concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CRT) on the gut microbiota in patients with locally advanced non‐small‐cell lung cancer. Overall gut microbiota composition remained largely stable throughout CRT while antibiotic exposure may influence microbial diversity.

Extracellular vesicle (EV) lipidomic profiling of plasma and ascites from patients with high‐grade serous ovarian cancer and of ovarian cancer cell lines reveals enrichment of triglycerides (TGs), diacylglycerols (DGs), phosphatidylcholine (PCs), sphingomyelins (SMs), reflecting tumor metabolic reprogramming.

In head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) p53 and p63 exert opposite roles on the transcription regulation of the lncRNA NEAT1. Under basal conditions, p53 levels are low and p63 represses NEAT1 expression. Upon genotoxic stress, p53 is rapidly induced, displacing p63 from the NEAT1 promoter leading to NEAT1 transcriptional activation and ...

Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

The kinase SRPK1 directly interacts with the protein TOPBP1 and regulates the pre‐mRNA splicing of WIZ thereby contributing to the activation of the ATR/CHK1 replicative checkpoint in response to replicative stress. This allows cancer cells' genomic stability and survival.

CodeEnhance: A Codebook-Driven Approach for Low-Light Image Enhancement [PDF]
Low-light image enhancement (LLIE) aims to improve low-illumination images. However, existing methods face two challenges: (1) uncertainty in restoration from diverse brightness degradations; (2) loss of texture and color information caused by noise ...

Targeting the EpCAM‐AXL axis to overcome drug resistance in lung cancer
Lung cancer cells often evade therapy by hijacking signaling pathways. We reveal that cleaved EpCAM (sEpCAM) stabilizes the oncogenic protein AXL, driving NF‐κB and STAT3‐mediated chemoresistance. This EpCAM‐AXL axis identifies a high‐risk patient subset with poor prognosis.

LVRF (lymphatic and vascular resistance factor) is a VEGFA splice variant upregulated in response to anti‐angiogenic therapy that fosters tumor adaptation through enhanced vascularization, lymphangiogenesis, and metastatic dissemination. Targeting LVRF with fully human neutralizing antibodies disrupts these processes and limits resistant tumor growth ...

Text in the Dark: Extremely Low-Light Text Image Enhancement [PDF]
Extremely low-light text images are common in natural scenes, making scene text detection and recognition challenging. One solution is to enhance these images using low-light image enhancement methods before text extraction.
