Exploring Fast and Flexible Zero-Shot Low-Light Image/Video Enhancement

open access: yes
Low-light image/video enhancement is a challenging task when images or video are captured under harsh lighting conditions. Existing methods mostly formulate this task as an image-to-image conversion task via supervised or unsupervised learning.

Characterization of therapeutic antibodies targeting lymphatic and vascular resistance factor for the treatment of hypervascularized and highly metastatic cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LVRF (lymphatic and vascular resistance factor) is a VEGFA splice variant upregulated in response to anti‐angiogenic therapy that fosters tumor adaptation through enhanced vascularization, lymphangiogenesis, and metastatic dissemination. Targeting LVRF with fully human neutralizing antibodies disrupts these processes and limits resistant tumor growth ...

Row–Column Separated Attention Based Low‐Light Image/Video Enhancement [PDF]

open access: yes
U‐Net structure is widely used for low‐light image/video enhancement. The enhanced images result in areas with large local noise and loss of more details without proper guidance for global information.

Reprogramming tumor cells with LCOR mRNA nanotherapy to enhance immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LCOR (Ligand‐dependent corepressor) mRNA encapsulated in polymeric nanoparticles restores LCOR activity in tumor cells, constraining aggressive tumor cell states and increasing tumor immunogenicity. This reprogramming makes tumor cells more vulnerable to T‐cell attack and enhances their response to immune‐checkpoint immunotherapy.

Candros optimization algorithm based dual attention LieNet model for low light image enhancement [PDF]

open access: yes
The images taken in the low-light environment appear dark and possess low visual quality due to inadequate light exposure, which influences the image view, affecting the oriented applications.

Optimization of seminal extracellular vesicle isolation protocols for cancer biomarker analysis using proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This paper shows that size‐exclusion chromatography and sequential centrifugation applied to seminal plasma enrich for different populations of extracellular vesicles. This may significantly affect the detection and analysis of extracellular vesicle‐associated cancer biomarkers.

Fractional-Order Fusion Model for Low-Light Image Enhancement

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, a novel fractional-order fusion model (FFM) is presented for low-light image enhancement. Existing image enhancement methods don’t adequately extract contents from low-light areas, suppress noise, and preserve naturalness.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.
