Low Mach Number Flows and Combustion [PDF]
We prove uniform existence results for the full Navier-Stokes equations for time intervals which are independent of the Mach number, the Reynolds number and the P clet number. We consider general equations of state and we give an application for the low Mach number limit combustion problem introduced by Majda.

A Low Mach Number Model for Moist Atmospheric Flows [PDF]
We introduce a low Mach number model for moist atmospheric flows that accurately incorporates reversible moist processes in flows whose features of interest occur on advective rather than acoustic time scales. Total water is used as a prognostic variable,

Semi-Implicit Roe-Type Fluxes for Low-Mach Number Flows [PDF]
Two semi-implicit methods based on the splitting of the Euler equations flux into fluid and acoustic parts applied to low Mach number flows are presented.

A low—storage Runge—Kutta OpenFOAM solver for compressible low—Mach number flows: aeroacoustic and thermo—fluid dynamic applications [PDF]
A solver for compressible Navier–Stokes equations is presented in this paper. Low-storage RungeKutta schemes were adopted for time integration; on the other hand the finite volume approach available within OpenFOAM library has been adopted for space ...

High order semi-implicit weighted compact nonlinear scheme for the all-Mach isentropic Euler system
The computation of compressible flows at all Mach numbers is a very challenging problem. An efficient numerical method for solving this problem needs to have shock-capturing capability in the high Mach number regime, while it can deal with stiffness and ...

Modified Gamma-Based Model for Solving Low Mach Number Compressible Two Phase Flows
This paper presents some modifications of the gamma-based model developed by K.M. Shyue (J. Comput. Phys., 1998, 142, 208-242). In deriving process of the original model, pressure equilibrium and an isentropic condition are not involved explicitly ...

Large eddy simulation of weakly compressible turbulent flows around an airfoil
The purpose of this study is to develop a numerical method for turbulent flows at low Mach number range. To account for the weak compressibility, we modify the time marching method of the usual incompressible scheme which is based on the elliptic ...
