Precise Interception Flight Targets by Image-based Visual Servoing of Multicopter [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Vision-based interception using multicopters equipped strapdown camera is challenging due to camera-motion coupling and evasive targets. This paper proposes a method integrating Image-Based Visual Servoing (IBVS) with proportional navigation guidance (PNG), reducing the multicopter's overload in the final interception phase.

PM2D: A parallel GPU-based code for the kinetic simulation of laser plasma instabilities in large scale plasmas [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Laser plasma instabilities (LPIs) have significant influences on the laser energy deposition efficiency, hot electron generation, and uniformity of irradiation in inertial confined fusion (ICF). In contrast to theoretical analysis of linear development of LPIs, numerical simulations play a more and more important role in revealing the complex physics ...

Biased perception leads to biased action: Validating a Bayesian model of interception [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
We tested whether and how biases in visual perception might influence motor actions. To do so, we designed an interception task in which subjects had to indicate the time when a moving object, whose trajectory was occluded, would reach a target area.

Radar Signal Recognition Based on CSRDNN Network

open access: yesIEEE Access
It is essential to achieve the high-accuracy recognition of low probability of intercept (LPI) radar signals in modern electronic warfare. However, under low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the recognition accuracy of the LPI radar signals is relatively low.

Novel Power Control Scheme for Target Tracking in Radar Network with Passive Cooperation [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2018
Distributed radar network systems (DRNS) have been shown to provide significant performance improvement. With the recent development, radar network has become an attractive platform for target tracking. In practice, the netted radars in DRNS are supposed

LOW PROBABILITY OF DETECTION AND COVERT RADARS OVER ATMOSPHERIC TURBULENCE CHANNELS BASED ON INCOHERENT LIGHT SOURCES [PDF]

open access: yes
The low probability of detection (LPD) and covert radars concept based on incoherent, broadband thermal optical sources is proposed. The main idea behind our proposal is to hide the radar signal in the background solar radiation by employing the thermal ...

Diffraction Analysis and Tactical Applications of Signal Propagation over Rough Terrain [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The free space propagation model is inadequate to predict the mean path-loss in ground wireless communication. Also, many existing propagation channel models do not adequately predict path-loss in rough terrain because most of them were based on ...
