Ultra-Low Sidelobe Waveforms Design for LPI Radar Based on Joint Complementary Phase-Coding and Optimized Discrete Frequency-Coding

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
In this paper, in order to reduce the probability of the radar waveform intercepted by the passive detection system, the time-bandwidth product of the radar waveform is increased, and the detection probability of the radar waveform to the target is ...

Analysis of Multimode Low-Probability-of-Intercept (LPI) Communications with Atmospheric Effects [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
This research expanded Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) communications analysis in two areas. First, multimode communication was included to account for ground to ground and air to ground links in addition to the standard air to air links traditionally

Detection of transmitters with low probability of intercept or LPI radars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
L’interception des émissions radar non-coopératifs opérée par des récepteurs de guerre électronique (GE) est un enjeu de défense et de sécurité. La généralisation de radars « à faible probabilité d’interception », dits radars LPI (Low Probability of ...

Low probability of intercept‐based cooperative node selection and transmit resource allocation for multi‐target tracking in multiple radars architecture

open access: yesIET Signal Processing, 2022
A low probability of intercept (LPI)‐based cooperative node selection and transmit resource allocation (CNS‐TRA) strategy is proposed for multi‐target tracking in multiple radars architecture (MRA).

IUDR‐Net: Improved U‐Lite Denoising and Recognition Network for Automatic Modulation Recognition of LPI Radar Signals

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper introduces a novel AMR method named IUDR‐Net to address the challenge of poor recognition accuracy under low SNR conditions. The method first employs the improved U‐Lite network to suppress the impact of noise effectively and then adopts the ResNet18‐1D network to perform the AMR task efficiently.

Sig2text: A Vision‐Language Model for Non‐Cooperative Radar Signal Parsing

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
We propose Sig2text, a symbolic radar signal recognition and parameter estimation framework that treats waveform analysis as a parsing task using a vision‐language model. By integrating time‐frequency representations with a context‐free grammar and transformer‐based architectures, Sig2text accurately identifies complex modulation types and estimates ...

WFH: A Wideband Frequency Hopping‐Based Anti‐Jamming Navigation Signal Structure

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
Given the limitations of existing satellite navigation signals in antijamming performance amid growing environmental jamming, this paper proposes a navigation signal structure based on wideband frequency hopping (WFH) modulation to enhance both antijamming capability and measurement accuracy. It further introduces the nonstationary effective carrier‐to‐

X-Band Low-Probability Intercept Marine Radar Antenna Design With Improved Bandwidth and High Isolation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
A series-parallel hybrid-fed microstrip array antenna design is presented for X-band low-probability intercept (LPI) marine radars. Contrary to traditional counterparts, the proposed antenna has improved impedance and radiation bandwidth from 9.1 to 9.6 ...
