Low-Profile Dynamic Wrist Splint
Journal of Hand Therapy, 1995A low-profile dynamic wrist splint has been designed for use by patients who have undergone simultaneous de Quervain's release and basal joint arthroplasty. The splint allows gentle postoperative gliding of the abductor pollicis longus (APL) and extensor pollicis brevis (EPB) tendons while stabilizing the basal joint arthroplasty.

Low-Energy STEM of Multilayers and Dopant Profiles
Microscopy and Microanalysis, 2005A conventional scanning electron microscope equipped with a LaB6 source has been modified to operate in a scanning transmission mode. Two detection strategies have been considered, one based on the direct collection of transmitted electrons, the other on the collection of secondary electrons resulting from the conversion of the transmitted ones ...

An isolated low-profile low-power converter
8th International Conference on Power Electronics and Variable Speed Drives, 2000An isolated low-profile power converter using a coreless PCB transformer is described. The switching frequency of the gate drives and power electronics is set at 8 MHz and the diameter of the coreless PCB transformer is merely 0.46 cm. Because of the high frequency operation involved, the gate drive electronics has to be soft-switched in order to ...
