Low profile meanderline polarizer
2017 IEEE International Conference on Antenna Innovations & Modern Technologies for Ground, Aircraft and Satellite Applications (iAIM), 2017In this paper, a theoretical analysis of low profile, dual layer meanderline polarizer is presented. Dual layer polarizer is analyzed using transmission line model and computing wave transmission matrix. The relative axial ratio bandwidth was achieved to be 13.6% with thickness of the polarizer 0.137λ at S-band.

Low-Profile Dynamic Wrist Splint
Journal of Hand Therapy, 1995A low-profile dynamic wrist splint has been designed for use by patients who have undergone simultaneous de Quervain's release and basal joint arthroplasty. The splint allows gentle postoperative gliding of the abductor pollicis longus (APL) and extensor pollicis brevis (EPB) tendons while stabilizing the basal joint arthroplasty.

An active, low-profile hydrophone for use in aquatic environments having substantially turbulent flow conditions. The hydrophone is generally pisciform such that it may lie substantially flat on the water bottom and oriented in the current so as to reduce ambient noise associated with the turbulent flow. The enclosed sensors are oriented such that they

Tracheobronchomalacia (TBM) is a condition where the trachealis muscle is too weak to withstand the pressure difference between the outer and inner walls of the trachea. This causes the airway to narrow or collapse. Patients with TBM may have symptoms including coughing, wheezing, and/or difficulty in breathing.

The growing usage of tablets and the introduction of ultrabooks have increased consumer demands for smaller, lighter, sleeker, and more mobile devices. With computing technologies gravitating towards thinner designs, there is increased pressure to reduce key travel in order to accommodate the reduced thickness.

Conformai low-profile metaline
2018 International Workshop on Antenna Technology (iWAT), 2018This paper presents a circularly-polarized (CP) low-profile metaline that is conformal to a conducting hollowed-out octagonal prism. Effects on the radiation characteristics of varying the octagonal prism side length, S, are investigated with the longitudinal length, L, kept constant.

Isolated low-profile low-power converter
2011An isolated low-profile power converter using a coreless PCB transformer is described. The switching frequency of the gate drives and power electronics is set at 8 MHz and the diameter of the coreless PCB transformer is merely 0.46 cm. Because of the high frequency operation involved, the gate drive electronics has to be soft-switched in order to ...

A symmetrically loaded, shallow suspension speaker with stiff diaphragm having a minimum dimension that is greater than the diameter of the magnet that drives the diaphragm thus allowing the suspension of the diaphragm to extend nearly to the bottom of the speaker basket on the maximum inward excursion of the voice coil and diaphragm such that the ...

A low profile speaker enclosure for mounting on a structure including a speaker housing and an electroacoustical transducer is disclosed. The speaker housing has a front face and a back each defining a length and a width, and a plurality of sides substantially separating the front face and the back and defining a thickness of the speaker housing.
