A Novel Modified Petroresin Particle (MPRP) With Enhanced Oil–Water Selectivity for Cold Production in Heavy Oil Reservoirs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel oil–water selective conformance control agent, MPRP, is prepared via hydrophilic grafting and mechanical granulation. MPRP uniformly disperses in water, cohesively expands upon aging, and readily dissolves in the oil phase. During conformance control, it selectively aggregates in water channeling pathways to form effective plugs without ...

Low load numerical simulation in combustion optimization of a 1 000 MW coal-fired boiler at deep peak load regulation

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
Low load operation is usually involved during response for deep peak load regulation for large-scale coal-fired boilers, which requires overcoming problems such as the lowering of boiler combustion stability, hydrodynamic safety, and flue gas inlet ...

Ionic Precursors Transformed Into Vinyl Acetate Synthesis Catalyst via Reaction‐Driven Restructuring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that a simple physical mixture of Pd and Au ionic precursors, KOAc promoter, and SiO2 support can transform into a highly active vinyl acetate synthesis catalyst through reaction‐driven restructuring. The results highlight reaction‐induced restructuring as an innovative and sustainable catalyst design strategy.

Combustion Performance and Low NOx Emissions of a Dimethyl Ether Compression-Ignition Engine at High Injection Pressure and High Exhaust Gas Recirculation Rate

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
Dimethyl ether (DME) is a promising alternative to diesel for compression-ignition (CI) engines used in various industrial applications. However, the high nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions of DME combustion have restricted its use. The primary cause of high

Low-Temperature Combustion Technology

open access: yesISRN Mechanical Engineering, 2012
Any coal-fired boiler is always designed on a certain kind of coal. In the EU and Russia in the old coal mines can be mined coal with a high content of moisture and ash. In order to use coal with different characteristics in the same steam generator, it is necessary to create a new coal combustion technology.

CINÉTICA DE PROCESOS DE COMBUSTIÓN IN SITU: UNA DISCUSIÓN DE LOS MODELOS CINÉTICOS

open access: yesRevista Fuentes El Reventón Energético, 2013
In situ combustion is a thermal enhanced heavy oil recovery method in which a portion of the oil is burned (approximately 10%) due to the reaction with oxygen or any other oxidant gas with the purpose of generating energy as heat.
