Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Low-Voltage Ride-Through Control Strategy for a Virtual Synchronous Generator Based on Smooth Switching

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
The grid-connected inverter with virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control technology can improve the friendliness of a distributed power supply to the power grid. However, its low-voltage ridethrough (LVRT) capability is insufficient, which results in

Enhancing Data Center Low-Voltage Ride-Through

open access: yes
Data center loads have expanded significantly in recent years. Compared to traditional loads, data centers are highly sensitive to voltage deviations and thus their protection mechanisms trip more proactively during voltage fluctuations. During a grid fault, simultaneous tripping of large-scale data centers can further destabilize the transmission ...

FAULT RIDE-THROUGH CAPABILITY AND DAMPING IMPROVEMENT IN DFIG [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Doubly-fed induction generator wind turbine is susceptible to faults and requires crowbar protection. When the crowbar is triggered, the rotor is short circuited over the crowbar impedance.

A Wearable Brain–Computer Interface for Mitigating Car Sickness via Attention Shifting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Car sickness poses a major challenge in vehicular travel, yet effective nonpharmacological solutions are scarce. We developed a wearable, closed‐loop mindfulness BCI that uses real‐time EEG‐based neurofeedback to shift attention away from motion‐induced discomfort. Validated in real‐car experiments involving >100$>100$ susceptible individuals, over 83%
