The Brécy depocenter as part of a new northern Massif Central Carboniferous–Permian Basin (France)

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Géoscience, 2023
The reinterpretation of deep wells and the reprocessing and interpretation of 115 km of industrial seismic lines can be used to update the geometry, depositional environments and tectonic evolution of the Carboniferous–Permian Brécy depocenter (southwest

Magnetostratigraphy of the Lower Carboniferous [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Geomagnetic polarity reversals studied by magnetostratigraphy have been described well in the Cenozoic and Mesozoic, unfortunately, there are still many data gaps in the Palaeozoic where the magnetostratigraphic record is not easy to correlate or is unknown. One of those is during the Carboniferous System. The magnetostratigraphy of Carboniferous rocks

Carboniferous algaflora in the Urals and its stratigrafical meaning

open access: yesЛитосфера, 2016
In the Urals Carboniferous 11 algae zones allowing to make interregional and intercontinental correlation of coeval deposits are established by author. For more fractional dividing of carbonate profiles on algoflora for the first time akmezones have been

Stratigraphy of the Upper Devonian - Lower Carboniferous of south-west of Lyzha-Kyrtael swell (Pechora Plate eastward) [PDF]

open access: yesНефтегазовая геология: Теория и практика, 2023
A new local stratigraphic scheme is proposed for the upper Famennian - Serpukhovian interval of the south-west of Lyzha-Kyrtael Swell. The stratigraphic sequence is composed of the Famennian carbonates of the Kamenka Formation, the Famennian - middle ...

NEW GROUP OF TOURNAISIAN ADVANCED SIPHONODELLA (CONODONTS, LOWER CARBONIFEROUS)

open access: yesRivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia, 2022
A new morphological group of advanced Siphonodella with diagonal or/and longitudinal ribbed ornamentation on the upper side of the platform of the P1 elements was identified and described based on the author's paleontological material from the Polar ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Visean palaeoincisions as centers of fluid-generation in the Kama coal basin

open access: yesGeoresursy
The paper considers palaeoincisions in the Turnean limestones of the Volga-Ural basin, made by alluvial-deluvial sediments of the Visean age and containing interlayers of coals.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
