Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Reef Distribution in the British Lower Carboniferous

Nature, 1969
IT has been known at least since the work of Hudson1 that reefs in the British Dinantian occur in the boundary regions between subsiding basins and rigid blocks, and that they are found at two principal horizons—in the basal Visean C2 zone (of northern England) and in the middle Visean D1 zone. The Lower Carboniferous sea was transgressive and, because
