First pterosaur remains from the Cretaceous of Poland [PDF]
The first records of pterosaurs from the Cretaceous of Poland are reported, on the basis of fragmentary remains from the marine Upper Albian (Lower Cretaceous) of the Annopol Anticline, central Poland.

The fossil record for neoceratopsian (horned) dinosaurs in the Lower Cretaceous of North America primarily comprises isolated teeth and postcrania of limited taxonomic resolution, hampering previous efforts to reconstruct the early evolution of this ...

Unique Leningradsky and Rusanovsky gascondensate fields in the Barrem-Cenomanian layer are discovered in the Kara Sea. Non-industrial accumulations of oil and gas have been discovered in the Lower Cretaceous sediments of the western part of the Barents ...

Response and Recovery of the Comanche Carbonate Platform Surrounding Multiple Cretaceous Oceanic Anoxic Events, Northern Gulf of Mexico [PDF]
The ubiquity of carbonate platforms throughout the Cretaceous Period is recognized as a product of high eustatic sea-level and a distinct climatic optimum induced by rapid sea-floor spreading and elevated levels of atmospheric carbon-dioxide.

Sedimentation of the Lower Cretaceous Xiagou formation and Its Response to Regional Tectonics in the Qingxi Sag, Jiuquan Basin, NW China [PDF]
Under the constraint of an isochronous sequence stratigraphic framework, sediment infill of the Xiagou Formation reflects the overall control of dynamic tectonic movements and episodic sedimentations in the Qingxi Sag.

Increased excavation of dinosaurs from China over the last two decades has enriched the record of Asian titanosauriform sauropods. However, the relationships of these sauropods remain contentious, and hinges on a few well-preserved taxa, such as ...

Morphological Stasis of Protists in Lower Cretaceous Amber
Paleomicrobiological studies of terrestrial and freshwater protists are extremely rare in comparison with studies of eukaryotic microfossils from marine ecosystems. Using optical and electron microscopy (SEM-BSE) for hard substrates, we have examined protists trapped in Lower Cretaceous amber from Peñacerrada (Alava, Spain).
