Devonian-Carboniferous boundary beds in the Vorkuta transverse uplift (Bolshaya Usa River)

open access: yes, 2018
The paper contains multidisciplinary data on the lithology and palaeontology of the Devonian–Carboniferous boundary beds in the shallow-water facies in the Bolshaya Usa River section (Vorkuta Uplift). A recent discussion on the position and marker of the

Syn‐ to Post‐Collisional Tectonic History of the Paleo‐Tethyan Orogenic Belt: Insights From Triassic Igneous Rocks in the North–Central Tibetan Plateau, China

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract The closure of the Paleo‐Tethys Ocean was one of the most important global geological events which formed the framework of the East Asian continent during the early Mesozoic. The Longmu Co‐Shuanghu suture zone is considered to record closure of the main basin of the Paleo‐Tethys Ocean.

Eifelian (Middle Devonian) to Early Frasnian (Late Devonian) conodonts and strata in the Spanish Central Pyrenees: Global correlations and effects of climatic fluctuations in the biota

open access: yes
The interval between the late Eifelian and early Frasnian was marked by significant paleoenvironmental instability, including major evolutionary, eustatic, and biotic events.

Lower Devonian Crinoid Pernerocrinus from the Southern Kitakami Mountains, N.E. Japan [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Three species of Crotalocrinitidae crinoids, Pernerocrinus hayasaki (Minato and Minoura), P. per-foratus sp. nov. and P. sp. are described. All these species came from the lower part of the Ohno Formation (Lower Devonian) of the southern Kitakami ...

Discovery of a Lochkovian flora (Lower Devonian) in the Iberian Peninsula

open access: yes, 2011
peer reviewedThe Lower Devonian represents an important episode in plant life history, which was marked by the diversification of land plants. Unfortunately, remains of early Devonian plants in the Iberian Peninsula are scarce.

Laurasian Seaway History During the Early Jurassic From Quantitative Mineralogy and Detrital Zircon Dating

open access: yesPaleoceanography and Paleoclimatology, Volume 41, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract The Laurasian Seaway comprises a N‐S oriented trans‐Pangaean corridor linking Tethys to the Boreal Sea during the Jurassic, and direction of water flow has been the subject of considerable debate. The Llanbedr (Mochras Farm) borehole, Cardigan Bay Basin, Wales, is a uniquely informative record that comprises an expanded deep‐marine silty ...

A Bayesian classification model to reconstruct lifetime movement patterns of riverine fish using environmental tracers

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, Volume 17, Issue 6, Page 1851-1866, June 2026.
Abstract Environmental tracers, including both elemental concentrations and isotope ratios, are widely used to reconstruct the movement patterns of animals throughout landscapes. The methodology involves creating a map that describes the distribution of the environmental tracer across the landscape, an isoscape and then matching the values of the same ...

Comparative Analysis of Diversification Rates in Clonal and Non‐Clonal Flowering Plants

open access: yesEcology Letters, Volume 29, Issue 6, June 2026.
Using data from 16,465 angiosperm species across 2,997 genera, we classified genera as clonal, mixed, or non‐clonal and estimated diversification using genus‐level phylogeny with DR, MoM, and BAMM. Clonal genera consistently showed lower diversification rates than mixed and non‐clonal genera across all methods.
