Characteristics and evolution of the lower precambrian basement of the North China platform
Journal of Southeast Asian Earth Sciences, 1989Abstract The Lower Precambrian basement of the North China platform is composed of Lower, Upper Archaean and Lower Proterozoic metamorphic complexes. The Lower Archaean metamorphic complex, distributed mainly in the North Border sub-domain, consists of granulite, gneiss, amphibolite and pyroxenite. The metamorphic grade is up to granulite facies. Spectral analysis of a Precambrian limestone-shale sequence, lower Vindhyan, India
Precambrian Research, 1988Abstract The Precambrian Lower Vindhyan limestone-shale sequence which exhibits predominantly subtidal shelf facies, has been subjected to the power spectrum analysis. The limestone percentages calculated at 20 cm intervals at Pipradih I (Tuira-Pipradih) and Pipradih II (Dhabua) sections form raw data for the analysis.

The Late Precambrian/Lower Cambrian Bonahaven Dolomite of Islay and its stromatolites
Scottish Journal of Geology, 1972Synopsis The Bonahaven Dolomite (?295 m thick) lies in the Dalradian sequence between the Port Askaig Tillite (beneath) and the Jura Quartzite (above) and is best developed on Islay (Inner Hebrides). The sequence in the formation at five coastal outcrops is figured and four members erected.

Microfossils from the Lower Kundelungu (Late Precambrian) of Zambia
Precambrian Research, 1977Abstract Lower Kundelungu black argillites and silty dolomicrites from the Ndola area contain a rich microfossil assemblage, of which several forms can be attributed to the form-genus Fibularix Pflug, 1965. The same assemblage has also been found in fine-grained, mildly metamorphosed sedimentary rocks from Kalengwa and Karibarembi (North-Western ...

Microfossils of Lower Cambrian and Precambrian deposits in eastern Siberia
Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology, 1967Abstract Early Cambrian and Late Proterozoic deposits in the south of eastern Siberia (Irkutsk amphitheatre) contain a large quantity of microfossils in carbonate and terrigenous rocks. Numerous finds of fossils are particularly important for the terrigenous part of the Uschakovsk and Motsk Formations.

Lower precambrian metapelites of the Yenisei Range: REE systematics, provenances, paleogeodynamics
Doklady Earth Sciences, 2010The Yenisei Range represents a Precambrianfolded structure in the southwestern margin of theSiberian Craton. The Lower Precambrian rock associations in the southerly located Angara–Kan block arerepresented by the Kan granulite–gneiss and Yeniseischist—gneiss complexes. North of the Angara River, gneisses and crystalline schists outcrop in the Yeniseiand

Lower Precambrian Stromatolite Associations of Karelia
1992The Archean-Lower Proterozoic strata of the eastern Baltic Shield contain stromatolites, microphytolites, acritarchs, and other problematic fossils which form characteristic assemblages. Each assemblage is characteristic of a certain stratigraphic unit at the regional scale.

Lower palaeozoic and precambrian petroleum source rocks and the coalification path of alginite
Organic Geochemistry, 1992Organic-rich samples derived from a Middle Cambrian Formation in the Georgina Basin, and from the Middle Proterozoic of the McArthur Basin in northern and central Australia, yielded alginite ranging from immature oil shale material to overmature residue. A maturation scale has been developed based on the thermal evolution of alginite as determined from

Acritarchs from the Bohemian Precambrian (Upper Proterozoic) and Lower-Middle Cambrian
Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology, 1974Abstract Acritarchs and other microfossils from the Bohemian Upper Proterozoic are briefly discussed together with an evaluation of their stratigraphic value in the Precambrian rock sequences. It is shown that part of the presumed Upper Proterozoic in Bohemia could well belong to the Lower Paleozoic (Cambrian).
