Equivariant toric geometry and Euler–Maclaurin formulae
Abstract We first investigate torus‐equivariant motivic characteristic classes of toric varieties, and then apply them via the equivariant Riemann–Roch formalism to prove very general Euler–Maclaurin‐type formulae for full‐dimensional simple lattice polytopes.

Observational Equivalence and Full Abstraction in the Symmetric Interaction Combinators
The symmetric interaction combinators are an equally expressive variant of Lafont's interaction combinators. They are a graph-rewriting model of deterministic computation.

Unpacking Endogeneity: Growth, Discontent and Cohesion Policy in the EU Regions
ABSTRACT This paper explores the complex interplay between regional economic growth, political discontent, and policy responsiveness within EU regions, focusing on increasing inequalities in the context of the EU's ongoing processes of deepening and widening integration. Drawing on panel data for the EU28 at the regional level (NUTS2) from 2010 to 2018,

Abstract The seasonal evolution of tropical meridional circulation varies across regions and plays a key role in monsoon onset and rainfall migration, with important impacts on agriculture and disaster preparedness. Observations show that these transitions often occur abruptly within days.

Sediment‐stressed reefs over the past 420 Myr
In order to fully elucidate the relationship between siliciclastic sedimentation and reef development, there needs to be a significant step change in how we record ancient and recent reefs. Only through the collection of constrained quantitative data, we can progress beyond the largely conjectural associations postulated for many ancient reefal systems.

Abstract Quantifying the structure and dynamics of species interactions in ecological communities is fundamental to studying ecology and evolution. While there are numerous approaches to analysing ecological networks, there is not yet an approach that can (1) quantify dissimilarity in the global structure of ecological networks that range from ...

ABSTRACT Aim To prospectively investigate the incidence of symptoms and changes in the size of the apical bone destruction in symptom‐free root‐filled teeth with persistent apical periodontitis (AP) over 1 year without treatment. Methodology Patients referred to two specialist endodontic clinics in Västra Götaland, Sweden, with asymptomatic periapical ...

Evaluating Allocations of Opportunities
ABSTRACT This paper provides a robust criterion for comparing lists of probability distributions—interpreted as allocations of opportunities—faced by different social groups. We axiomatically argue in favor of comparing those lists of probability distributions on the basis of a uniform—among groups—valuation of their expected utility.

Why Philosophers Should Care About Computational Complexity [PDF]
One might think that, once we know something is computable, how efficiently it can be computed is a practical question with little further philosophical importance. In this essay, I offer a detailed case that one would be wrong.
