Abstract Premise Desert plant assemblages in southern California provide an opportunity to link patterns of community structure with climate‐driven vulnerability in a rapidly changing environment. California sustains an exceptionally diverse flora of approximately 4300 plant species, with 31% identified as endemic.

In Ghana lowlands mostly comprising floodplains and inland valleys occur throughout the whole country. These lowlands have been characterized to be heterogeneous in morphology, soil type, vegetation and hydrology. Lowland soils therefore occur across all the agro-ecological zones of the country.

Adaptive Genomic Divergence Across Altitudes in Capsella bursa‐pastoris

Biological Diversity, EarlyView.
Genomic divergence was observed between high‐altitude and low‐altitude populations of Capsella bursa‐pastoris in China, consistent with an important role of ecological factors. Candidate adaptive loci associated with enhanced energy metabolism, photoprotection, and growth plasticity under altitudinal stress were identified.
