Lp norm design of stack filters.
IEEE transactions on image processing : a publication of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, 2010This paper addresses the problem of designing optimal stack filters by employing an Lp norm of the error between the desired signal and the estimated one. It is shown that the Lp norm can be expressed as a linear function of the decision errors at the binary levels of the filter.

Oblivious Routing for the Lp-norm
2009 50th Annual IEEE Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science, 2009Gupta et al. [GHR06] introduced a very general multi-commodity flow problem in which the cost of a given flow solution on a graph G=(V, E) is calculated by first computing the link loads via a load-function l, that describes the load of a link as a function of the flow traversing the link, and then aggregating the individual link loads into a single ...

Lp Normed Spectral Estimation Residual Analysis
Twenty-Second Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2005Seismic sonic log data is characterized by a relatively high signal-to-noise ratio with the possible presence of one or more impulses arising from the data acquisition environment. Frequently, in order to completely analyze sonic log data, a high resolution frequency estimation technique is required that is resistant to the possible presence of ...

Asymptotic Performance of Lp-Norm MIMO Detection
2010 IEEE 72nd Vehicular Technology Conference - Fall, 2010Full search L1-norm (FS-L1) and sphere decoding Linfty-norm (SD-Linfty) detectors have been previously proposed for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems as they entail a lower receiver complexity than the optimal L2-norm detector. However, the performance loss caused by application of these suboptimal detectors in additive white Gaussian noise

Minimum Lp-norm two-dimensional phase unwrapping
Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 1996We develop an algorithm for the minimum Lp-norm solution to the two-dimensional phase unwrapping problem. Rather than its being a mathematically intractable problem, we show that the governing equations are equivalent to those that describe weighted least-squares phase unwrapping. The only exception is that the weights are data dependent.
