Cutting plane methods for general integer programming [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Integer programming (IP) problems are difficult to solve due to the integer restrictions imposed on them. A technique for solving these problems is the cutting plane method.

Solving Batched Linear Programs on GPU and Multicore CPU [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Linear Programs (LPs) appear in a large number of applications and offloading them to the GPU is viable to gain performance. Existing work on offloading and solving an LP on GPU suggests that performance is gained from large sized LPs (typically 500 constraints, 500 variables and above).

Nanoscale Agglomeration Mechanisms of BF‐DPB:BPyMPM Donor–Acceptor Systems for Organic Optoelectronic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The intermolecular and molecule‐substrate interactions and resulting molecular assembly of the OLED and OPV donor and acceptor molecules BF‐DPB and BPyMPM are investigated on different single crystalline substrates using high‐resolution scanning probe microscopy.

Axioms for Consensus Functions on the n-Cube

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2017
A p value of a sequence π=(x1,x2,…,xk) of elements of a finite metric space (X,d) is an element x for which ∑i=1kdp(x,xi) is minimum. The lp–function with domain the set of all finite sequences on X and defined by lp(π)={x:  x is a p value of π} is ...

Qualitative and quantitative properties for the space ℓp,q [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The space lp,q is simply the space lp but renormed by 1 Ixlp,q =(11x+llg + IIx-IIg);, ß E where II'[Ip is the usual lp norm and x + and x- are the positive and negative. parts of x, respectively.

An Lp Fourier analysis on symmetric spaces

open access: yesJournal of Functional Analysis, 1982
AbstractSpherical Fourier transforms of Lp (1 ⩽ p < 2) functions on a Riemannian symmetric space are studied. It is proved that the spherical transform of such a function extends holomorphically to the same domain of the dual space as the one where the spherical transform of a Schwartz function of Lp type extends holomorphically and is rapidly ...

Lexicographic probability, conditional probability, and nonstandard probability [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2003
The relationship between Popper spaces (conditional probability spaces that satisfy some regularity conditions), lexicographic probability systems (LPS's), and nonstandard probability spaces (NPS's) is considered. If countable additivity is assumed, Popper spaces and a subclass of LPS's are equivalent; without the assumption of countable additivity ...

Multifunctional Hydroxyapatite Coated with Gallium Liquid Metal‐Based Silver Nanoparticles for Infection Prevention and Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional hydroxyapatite (HAp) coating integrated with silver‐gallium liquid metal nanoparticles (HAp‐Ag‐GaNPs) exhibits dual antibacterial and osteogenic properties. It effectively inhibits Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, including resistant strains, while enhancing bone regeneration.

Tight wavelet frames in Lebesgue and Sobolev spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces and Applications, 2004
We study tight wavelet frame systems in Lp(ℝd) and prove that such systems (under mild hypotheses) give atomic decompositions of Lp(ℝd) for 1≺p≺∞. We also characterize Lp(ℝd) and Sobolev space norms by the analysis coefficients for the frame. We consider
