Effect of induction hardening on the corrosion‐fatigue strength of the wheelsetshaft material EA4T (25CrMo4+quenched and tempered) was investigated. Hardening parameter was indentified and optimized for slightly notched specimen. Moreover the electrochemical and fatigue tests were carried out for initial and hardened state.

CUDB: An improved decomposition model for orthogonal pseudo-polyhedra [PDF]
We present a new decomposition model for Orthogonal Pseudo-Polyhedra (OPP): the Compact Union of Disjoint Boxes. This model is an improved version of the Ordered Union of Disjoint Boxes model.

Dynamic facial expression recognition with pseudo‐label guided multi‐modal pre‐training
To reduce the dependency on expensive manual annotations for the dynamic expression recognition (DER) task, the authors propose a multi‐modal pre‐training method with a pseudo‐label guidance mechanism to make full use of unlabelled video data for learning informative representations of facial expressions, and achieve state‐of‐the‐art performance on the

Fire‐Induced Carbon Loss and Tree Mortality in Siberian Larch Forests
Abstract Climate change is intensifying the fire regime across Siberia, with the potential to alter carbon combustion and post‐fire carbon re‐accumulation trajectories. Few field‐based estimates of fire severity (e.g., carbon combustion and tree mortality) exist in Siberian larch forests (Larix spp.), which limits our ability to project how an ...

On the Termination of Linear and Affine Programs over the Integers [PDF]
The termination problem for affine programs over the integers was left open in\cite{Braverman}. For more that a decade, it has been considered and cited as a challenging open problem.

Analysis of liquid-propellant rocket engines designed by F. A. Tsander [PDF]
The development of the oxygen-gasoline OR-2 engines and the oxygen-alcohol GIRD-10 rocket engine is described. A result of Tsander's rocket research was an engineering method for propellant calculation of oxygen-propellant rocket engines that determined ...
