Microstructure and mechanical properties of extruded and rolled Mg–Y–Zn–Ni–Co alloy
The as-cast Mg–2Y-0.5Zn-0.5Ni-0.5Co alloy (MYZNC, at%) underwent composite hot working, extrusion and rolling to further improve the mechanical properties, and the corresponding microstructure and mechanical properties were also investigated.

Substitution of Ni for Zn on microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg–Gd–Y–Zn–Mn alloy
This study analyzes the effect of substitution of Ni for Zn on microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg–Gd–Y–Zn–Mn alloy. Our results show that the volume fraction of Mg5(Gd, Y) and (Mg, Zn)3RE phase decreased and LPSO phase increased with more ...

A series of structural polytypes formed in an Mg-1at.%Zn-2at.%Y alloy has been identified, which are reasonably viewed as long-period stacking derivatives of the hcp Mg structure with alternate AB stacking of the close-packed atomic layers.

Systems Biology and Pangenome of Salmonella O-Antigens. [PDF]
O-antigens are glycopolymers in lipopolysaccharides expressed on the cell surface of Gram-negative bacteria. Variability in the O-antigen structure constitutes the basis for the establishment of the serotyping schema. We pursued a two-pronged approach to

In situ synchrotron radiation diffraction investigation of the compression behaviour at 350 °C of ZK40 alloys with addition of CaO and Y [PDF]
The evolution of the microstructure during compression is investigated with in situ synchrotron radiation diffraction in as-cast ZK40, ZK40-2CaO and ZK40-1Y Mg alloys.

Effect of heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-Gd-Y-Zn-Zr alloy
This paper examined the effects of heat treatment on the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the Mg-8Gd-3Y-1.5Zn-0.6Zr (VWZ832K) alloy. After solution treatment, it was discovered that the alloy's LPSO phase had altered from 18R-LPSO to
