Effect of incident laser on resolution of LSCM

Optics and Precision Engineering, 2014
The effect of the polarization and intensity profile of an incident laser on the resolution of a Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope (LSCM) was investigated. According to the vectorial diffraction integral of Wolf and Richards, a model of the illumination Point Spread Function (PSF) of LSCM with N-1 interfaces was established to calculate and analyze ...

Segmentation of LSCM Images based on Multi-channel Information Fusion

open access: closed2005 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology 27th Annual Conference, 2005
The two channels of LSCM, the fluorescent light channel and the visible light channel, provide us with different modality images that contain special information respectively. In this paper we propose a new and integrated approach to segment images in the fluorescent light channel of LSCM, which have rather low SNR and can not provide sufficiently high

LSCM–YSZ nanocomposites for a high performance SOFC anode

Ceramics International, 2013
Abstract La 0.75 Sr 0.25 Cr 0.5 Mn 0.5 O 3− δ (LSCM) is a promising Ni-free anode material with reliable performance. LSCM retains excellent stability in both oxidizing and reducing environments at high operating temperatures, which makes it adoptable as solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) anodes.

Ba-substituted LSCM anodes for solid oxide fuel cells

Journal of Power Sources, 2013
Abstract Three perovskites with the general formula La 0.75 Ba x Sr 0.25− x Cr 0.5 Mn 0.5 O 3 ( x  = 0, 0.10 and 0.25) have been synthesized. For all materials, the symmetry is rhombohedral (space group R-3c). On the electrical point of view, a p-type semiconducting behaviour was evidenced in the series.

Probing of cancer cell apoptosis by SERS and LSCM

SPIE Proceedings, 2009
Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) can provide information of internal structures and chemical components from different kinds of samples. Laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM) can show morphologic information of samples by high-resolution optical images with different focal planes.

The use of laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM) in materials science

Journal of Microscopy, 2010
SummaryLaser scanning confocal microscopes are essential and ubiquitous tools in the biological, biochemical and biomedical sciences, and play a similar role to scanning electron microscopes in materials science. However, modern laser scanning confocal microscopes have a number of advantages for the study of materials, in addition to their obvious uses

LSCM Based Non-rigid Registration for Craniofacial Surfaces

2011
The Least Squares Conformal Maps (LSCM) is an approximation of the conformal mapping in the least-squares sense, and it can map the corresponding feature points on two 3D surfaces into the same 2D location. This paper proposes a non-rigid registration method for craniofacial surfaces based on LSCM parameterization.

The Preparation Research for IT-SOFC Anode Material LSCM

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
Perovskite-structure La0.7Sr0.3Cr0.5Mn0.5O3-δanode powder was prepared by glycine nitrate process. The result of characterization indicated that the pore morphology and mechanical property of anode support pellets using starch as pore-forming agent are superior to that of using activated carbon.

Feature based registration of fluorescent LSCM imagery using region centroids

SPIE Proceedings, 2005
We present a novel semi-automated registration technique for 3D volume reconstruction from fluorescent laser scanning confocal microscope (LSCM) imagery. The developed registration procedure consists of (1) highlighting segmented regions as salient feature candidates, (2) defining two region correspondences by a user, (3) computing a pair of region ...

New LSCM blind multiuser detection algorithm for antenna array CDMA system

Journal of Electronics (China), 2006
Two blind multiuser detection algorithms for antenna array in Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system which apply the linearly constrained condition to the Least Squares Constant Modulus Algorithm (LSCMA) are proposed in this paper. One is the Linearly Constrained LSCMA (LC-LSCMA), the other is the Preprocessing LC-LSCMA (PLC-LSCMA).
