Abstract Water temperature is an important abiotic driver of aquatic ecosystems. It influences many aspects of an organism's existence including its metabolic, growth and feeding rates; fecundity; emergence; behaviour and ultimately survival. This study determined the upper thermal limits of a range of aquatic macroinvertebrates from rivers in the ...

Abstract In this study, the maximum and minimum lethal temperatures (LT50) of L. intermedia and L. laeta were determined in two treatments: gradual heating (25–50°C) and cooling (25°C to −5°C), and 1 h at a constant temperature. In gradual temperatures change, L. intermedia mortality started at 40°C and the LT50 was 42°C; for L.

Testing the differences of LT50, LD50, or ED50
Canadian Journal of Forest Research, 2018An approximate method is derived for testing the differences of LT50, LD50, or ED50, which indicate the temperature or dose needed to kill or damage half of the plants, respectively. It is assumed that a logistic model is used to describe the relationship between probability and a treatment variable in the framework of generalized linear mixed models ...

Salt formation of benzphetamine and etryptamine as a potential means of obtaining sustained release and/or prolonged action was studied by measuring the median lethal time (LT50) in mice and its relationship to in vitro dissolution rates and solubilities. Both the LT50 and LD50 increase as the in vitro dissolution rate, determined at pH 7.2, decreases.

Evaluation of Cold Resistance and Semi-lethal Low Temperature (LT50)of Nine Pear Cultivars
[Objectives] To evaluate the cold resistance and semi-lethal temperature of pear cultivars, and provide a theoretical basis for the regional extension and breeding of cold-resistant pear cultivars. [Methods] Nine pear cultivars were used to study the changes in relative conductivity and cell injury rate of pear branches under low temperature stress ...Huan LIU, +5 more
