Demonstration of an instream flow model to accommodate a threatened tiger beetle in riverine dune habitat

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, Volume 19, Issue 4, Page 918-932, July 2026.
Burrows of the threatened Gibson's Big Sand Tiger Beetle in riverine dune habitats are susceptible to flooding through managed flows. HEC‐RAS modelling identified the flow thresholds above which flooding would occur for burrows and affect the beetle larvae. These findings provide instream flow guidelines for conserving this threatened species and guide

Unified Analytical Framework for Understanding the Operational Stability of Blue Phosphorescent OLEDs: Quantitative Insights Into Exciton Recycling and Bimolecular Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 52, 29 June 2026.
Blue phosphorescent OLEDs remain limited by poor operational stability. Here, a unified analytical framework integrating transient photoluminescence and magneto‐electroluminescence is developed to correlate intrinsic material photophysics with electrically driven degradation.

Transmission effect of entomopathogenic fungi on population of Tetranychus kanzawai (Kishida) (Tetranychidae: Acarina) [PDF]

open access: yesArthropods, 2013
Transmission Effect of Beuaveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae on population of Tetranychus kanzawai was conducted .There were two activities, first by leaf contamination and secondly transmission from infected mite to a group population and were ...

Strontium Charge‐Generation Assistant Layer for High‐Performance Tandem Organic Light Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 21, 5 June 2026.
An ultrathin Sr interlayer is introduced as a charge‐generation assist layer to overcome the electron‐injection barrier in deep‐LUMO charge‐generation layers (CGLs) of tandem OLEDs. The Sr layer facilitates trap‐assisted tunneling and lowers the effective injection barrier, enabling improved charge balance and yielding tandem OLEDs with doubled ...

Bioinsecticide effect of Metarhizium anisopliae on termite pests Microtermes lepidus and Psammotermes hybostoma, in the laboratory

open access: yes
In Senegal, many studies have shown the economic importance of termite damage to crops. The majority of farmers use dangerous chemicals on human beings, animals, crops, soil, and environment health.

Can Functional Traits Explain Recent Changes in Abundance of Alpine Plant Species?

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
We tested whether plant functional traits can explain recent changes in alpine species abundance using long‐term monitoring data from Austria. Morphological traits like plant height and leaf area predicted species changes, while physiological stress‐tolerance traits showed no significant relationships.

Dehydrin, alcohol dehydrogenase, and central metabolite levels are associated with cold tolerance in diploid strawberry (Fragaria spp.) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The use of artificial freezing tests, identification of biomarkers linked to or directly involved in the low-temperature tolerance processes, could prove useful in applied strawberry breeding.
