Machine-to-Machine Communication in LTE-A
2010 IEEE 72nd Vehicular Technology Conference - Fall, 2010Wireless equipped machines are increasing greatly in recent years, among which the cellular network based machine-to-machine communication (M2M) has shown the advantages of better coverage and lower network deployment cost. However, the current cellular network is designed for human-to-human communication, targeting the voice/media transmission with ...

Bandwidth sharing in LTE-A relaying systems
2010 48th Annual Allerton Conference on Communication, Control, and Computing (Allerton), 2010We investigate bandwidth allocation in LTE Advanced systems employing Type-I relays. We optimize the bandwidth and power usage under constraints on required rate, bandwidth and transmit power. We study a scenario in which the relay acts as a dedicated forwarder in the downlink for a User Equipment (UE).

Primary Component Carrier Assignment in LTE-A
2017Bandwidth requirement for mobile data traffic is on the rise because of increasing number of mobile users. To answer the requirement, Carrier Aggregation is proposed. With Carrier Aggregation and MIMO, operators can provide up to 3 Gbps download speed. In Carrier Aggregation, several component carriers from multiple bands are assigned to users.

Strategy for Resource Allocation in LTE-A
2016 International Conference on Signal Processing, Communication, Power and Embedded System (SCOPES), 2016An EUTRAN offers Multi-Point connectivity from base station (eNB) toward the UE for reliable connection under mobility. This enhances the user experience with committed throughput. Radio resource allocation is a complex arrangement of resources in multiuser scenario, and it became more cumbersome if UE offer optional or alternative path to connect the ...

LTE-A Relay Scenarios and Evaluation Methodology
2012Chapter 2 includes two major parts: relay application scenarios and simulation methodology. Seven scenarios are described: rural area, urban hot spot, dead spot, indoor hot spot, group mobility, emergency network and wireless backhaul. Simulation methodology discussion is focused on the channel modeling and key parameters for relay system simulations.
