Effects of Agricultural Management on Water Retention via Changes in Organic Carbon in Topsoil and Subsoil

open access: yesJournal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science, Volume 188, Issue 6, Page 949-963, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Increases in soil organic carbon (SOC) through agricultural management can alter soil water retention. This is determined via changes in pore size distribution, namely, air capacity (AC), plant‐available water capacity (PAWC), and hygroscopic water capacity (HWC). However, it is uncertain how much soil water retention in topsoil and

Influence of Viscosity Ratio on the Mechanical, Morphological, and Rheological Properties of Thermoplastic Dynamic Vulcanizates from Devulcanized Tire Rubber and Polypropylene

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 310, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study explores how polypropylene viscosity influences the structure and performance of thermoplastic dynamic vulcanizates made with devulcanized tire rubber. Higher matrix viscosity results in better dispersion of the rubber phase, forming smaller domains and enhancing mechanical properties. The findings support more efficient recycling strategies

Cartographic Dialogue: A Pedagogy for Emotion and Critical Consciousness in Language Teacher Educator Identity Development

open access: yesTESOL Journal, Volume 16, Issue 4, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Language teacher educators (LTEs) enter their roles with complex personal histories and experiences. Little research examines the ways in which LTEs of varying backgrounds reflect on these histories, their emotional responses to these reflections, and their connections to cultural contexts or systemic (in)justice. In this article, we treat the

The Decolonizing Potential of Creative Autobiographies in Exploring Plurilingual Teacher Identities

open access: yesTESOL Journal, Volume 16, Issue 4, December 2025.
ABSTRACT The call for second language teacher education (SLTE) to embrace teacher identity is not new. There is a growing body of research that theorizes teacher identity, focuses on the centrality of teacher identity in teacher learning and professional growth and highlights the impact of teacher identity on their pedagogical practices.

The ideological positioning of heritage language learners: A critical discourse analysis of world language teacher preparation textbooks

open access: yesThe Modern Language Journal, Volume 109, Issue 4, Page 800-820, Winter 2025.
Abstract In recent years, critical applied linguists have increasingly prioritized uncovering and reckoning with language ideologies in language teaching and learning. Additionally, US‐based studies have documented various language ideologies in heritage and nonheritage language textbooks and departments.
