Machine learning approach of multi‐RAT selection for travelling users in 5G NSA networks
The authors present RAT selection algorithm for efficient resource allocation for public bus travelling user(s), utilising live data from multiple 5G NSA base stations. Models of the supervised machine learning algorithms: SVM, DNN and XGBoost were deployed for implementation to predict or select the appropriate RAT between 4G and 5G RATs.

Optimal Discrete Spatial Compression for Beamspace Massive MIMO Signals
Deploying massive number of antennas at the base station side can boost the cellular system performance dramatically. Meanwhile, it however involves significant additional radio-frequency (RF) front-end complexity, hardware cost and power consumption. To

Performance Optimization of SNR and SFDR in RoF Link for the Next Generation Networks
Figure 1 showing the fundamental concept of RoF link designing over a dispersive medium. The complete RoF link is divided into three different sections. These sections are nominated as, central station (CS), optical distribution networks (ODN) and base station (BS). CS to BS conversation is called downlink transmission, while from BS to CS it is called

Massive MIMO for Internet of Things (IoT) Connectivity
Massive MIMO is considered to be one of the key technologies in the emerging 5G systems, but also a concept applicable to other wireless systems. Exploiting the large number of degrees of freedom (DoFs) of massive MIMO essential for achieving high ...

Channel correlation-based approach for feedback overhead reduction in massive MIMO [PDF]
For frequency-division duplex multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems, the channel state information at the transmitter is usually obtained by sending pilots or reference signals from all elements of the antenna array. The channel is then estimated
