Efficient Partial Firmware Update for IoT Devices with Lua Scripting Interface

2019 29th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA), 2019
The paper introduces a method of efficient partial firmware update with several advantages compared to common methods. The amount of data to transfer for an update is reduced, the energetic efficiency is increased and as the method is designed for over the air update, the radio spectrum occupancy is decreased.

Automatic control of an OpenFlow-based network using Lua scripts and SPLAY

2016 International Conference on Communications (COMM), 2016
This paper studies the SPLAY open-source framework that facilitates the design, deployment and testing of large-scale distributed applications. A mechanism for automatic control of a virtualized testbed created in OpenStack running Ubuntu 14.04.3 was implemented. The SPLAY entities involved herein were the following: a controller and a modified version

Specifying Route Behaviors of Self-Driving Vehicles in ROS Using Lua Scripting Language with Web Interface

2020 IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology (EIT), 2020
Implementing software for a large-scale robotics research platform such as an autonomous vehicle requires a system that can quickly adapt to new environments, behaviors, capability requirements, and physical hardware. To solve this problem, the proposed system abstracts sets of low level control into “behaviors” defined using Lua scripts.

Rule-Based Action Recognition: Performance Comparison between Lua and GDL Script Language

2016 10th International Conference on Innovative Mobile and Internet Services in Ubiquitous Computing (IMIS), 2016
The main novelty of this paper is presenting the implementation of GDL classifier in pure Lua language. We also present the evaluation of this implementation for motion capture data classification in real-time and compare the execution time with GDL 1.1 implementation.

Integration of Lua script interpreter for automatic device configuration using TR-069

2014 22nd Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR), 2014
Network technologies development provides constant access to the consumer electronic devices, so that they are becoming remotely managed. This paper presents a solution for support of Lua based configuration scripts definition as a part of the auto-configuration system. This system enables the user to create, control or remove configuration scripts and

Powering intelligent instruments with Lua scripting

2009 IEEE AUTOTESTCON, 2009
As the power of the integrated processors that control today's instruments continues to climb, instrument vendors will increasingly add features that allow users to utilize the added intelligence by embedding custom applications directly onboard the instrument. For the test, measurement and automation industries, this paradigm is a complement to, among
