Dolomite Formation Driven by the Synergy of Hydrothermal Activity, Biology, and Climate: A Case Study from the Lucaogou Formation in the Jimsar Sag

Typical saline lacustrine mixed sedimentary strata are developed in the Middle Permian Lucaogou Formation (P2l) in the Jimsar Sag, with frequent interbedding of mudstone, dolomitic mudstone, and argillaceous dolomite. The widespread development of dolomite is a key factor controlling the quality of shale oil reservoirs.
