Session 2-3-F: Gaming Applications of a Forgotten Distribution
Introduction The bonus game has become a very important part of the slot machine, as indicated by a large number of patent applications and patents (Bennett, 2000; Slomiany and Grupp, 2000; Vancurra, 2000; Baerlocher et al, 2002; Jaffe et al, 2002 ...

Mechanical and Electrical Properties of Free‐standing Polycrystal Diamond Membranes
We demonstrate a novel approach for synthesizing free‐standing and transferable polycrystalline diamond membranes (PCDm). Two types of PCDm cantilevers—Top‐Surface‐Up (TSU) and Bottom‐Surface‐Up (BSU)—are fabricated and systematically analyzed for mechanical and electrical properties, including elastic modulus, Bandgap, sheet resistance under the ...

An identity for the Fibonacci and Lucas numbers [PDF]
In this paper we prove an identity between sums of reciprocals of Fibonacci and Lucas numbers. The Fibonacci numbers are defined for all n ≥ 0 by the recurrence relation Fn + 1 = Fn + Fn-1 for n ≥ 1, where F0 = 0 and F1 = 0. The Lucas numbers Ln are defined for all n ≥ 0 by the same recurrence relation, where L0 = 2 and L1 = 1 We prove the following ...

Current Approaches and Challenges in Advanced Oxidation Processes for Nanoplastic Degradation
This review explores recent progress in advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) for the degradation of nanoplastics (NPs) in water. It presents a comparative assessment of key AOP technologies and identifies current limitations in analytical methods and treatment efficiency.

The ability to switch the HER activity of precious metals at will through a reconfigurable step‐edge/nanoparticle interface, using sulfur as an inorganic mediator, is demonstrated for the first time. This methodology addresses the durability issue of highly catalytic precious metals, which are typically single‐use, thereby extending their lifespan ...

Lucas Numbers with Lehmer Property
A composite positive integer n is Lehmer if (n) divides n-1, where (n) is the Euler's totient function. No Lehmer number is known, nor has it been proved that they don't exist. In 2007, the second author [7] proved that there is no Lehmer number in the Fibonacci sequence.

Multiple Sums of Circular Binomial Products
Five classes of multiple sums about circular products of binomial coefficients are investigated. Their generating functions are explicitly expressed as rational functions, with coefficients being Fibonacci and Lucas numbers.
