This study presents a soft pneumatic pressure regulation system that uses self‐excited hose oscillations to convert constant pressure (90–150 kPa) into rhythmic output. Simulations and experiments demonstrate tunable oscillation frequencies (5.9–11.1 Hz) through adjustments in pressure, hose length, and jet hole diameter.

This study presents Hi‐LabSpermTracking, a long‐duration, expert‐annotated sperm motility dataset for detection and tracking. It evaluates You Only Look Once version 8, Real‐Time Detection Transformer, and Simple Online and Realtime Tracking with a Deep Association Metric in three scenarios. The mean ensemble method improves tracking performance. Sperm

Exonic Variation and Its Clinical Impact in 7221 Old Order Amish
ABSTRACT The Amish of Lancaster County, PA has been the focus of genetic studies for many years due to its demographic history and unique genetic makeup that includes a historical bottleneck event and subsequent genetic drift, resulting in a marked decrease in genetic diversity and increased frequency of some variants that have substantially shaped the

Sex Differences in Associations of Lewy Body Disease with Alzheimer's Disease and Cognitive Decline
Objective To investigate how sex and age at menopause influence the interplay between Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Lewy body disease (LBD) neuropathologies, and their associations with cognitive decline. Methods We analyzed data from: (1) three Rush Alzheimer's Disease Center cohorts (i.e., the Religious Orders Study, Rush Memory and Aging Project, and

Values of Lucas Sequences Modulo Primes
Let \(F_n\) denote the Fibonacci numbers. It is very easy to show that primes \(p \neq 5\) divide \(F_{p \pm 1}\), but finding the correct sign involves a piece of quadratic reciprocity. \textit{M. Ward} [Pac. J. Math. 11, 379--386 (1961; Zbl 0112.26904)] has observed that the question which primes divide \(F_{(p \pm 1)/k}\) for \(k = 2, 3, 4 \ldots ...

On the index of appearance of a Lucas sequence
Let $\mathbf{u} = (u_n)_{n \geq 0}$ be a Lucas sequence, that is, a sequence of integers satisfying $u_0 = 0$, $u_1 = 1$, and $u_n = a_1 u_{n - 1} + a_2 u_{n - 2}$ for every integer $n \geq 2$, where $a_1$ and $a_2$ are fixed nonzero integers. For each prime number $p$ with $p \nmid 2a_2D_{\mathbf{u}}$, where $D_{\mathbf{u}} := a_1^2 + 4a_2$, let $ρ_ ...

On arithmetic progressions in Lucas sequences
In this paper, we consider arithmetic progressions contained in Lucas sequences of first and second kind. We prove that for almost all sequences, there are only finitely many and their number can be effectively bounded. We also show that there are only a few sequences which contain infinitely many and one can explicitly list both the sequences and the ...
